The first part of the much-anticipated movie Harry Potter and the Deathly Hollows will be released November 19, but only in 2D.
WARNER Brothers has announced it would no longer screen part one of the much-anticipated Harry Potter and the Deathly Hallows in 3D as planned.
The studio said the 3D version of the film could not be completed in time for its scheduled release on November 19, “despite their best efforts”.
“We do not want to disappoint fans who have long-anticipated the conclusion of this extraordinary journey,” the studio said in a statement.
IMAX Melbourne Museum said the film would be screened next month in traditional 2D.

The film’s director and producer, David Yates and David Heyman, both supported the decision.
“For ten years, we have worked alongside… the studio, whose priority has always been to preserve the integrity of Jo Rowling’s books as we have adapted them to the screen, and this decision reflects that commitment,” Heyman said.
The final part of the Harry Potter series is expected to be released in both 2D and 3D formats next July.
Warner Brothers said it did not want to delay the film's release so as not to disappoint "fans who have long-anticipated the conclusion of this extraordinary journey".
