The 2011 MUOSS Night Market will be held April 7 at Melbourne University’s Union Lawn from 6pm to 10pm.
THE Melbourne University Overseas Students Service’s Night Market is an annual highlight on the international student calendar.
Set to take place on April 7 this year, the market celebrates cultural diversity and multiculturalism in the city with a variety of refreshments, fun and entertainment.
Meander through some 30 stalls at the MUOSS night market.
This year’s theme is a “World Without Borders” and organisers are promising 28 food stalls and five general stalls, many run by Melbourne University’s international student clubs and societies.
Among the clubs attending this year’s bash are Habitat for Humanity, the Hong Kong Students’ Association and the International Commerce Student Society.
The MUOSS night market is an annual highlight on the international student calendar.
In 2010, the night market attracted more than 4,000 visitors and has been dubbed a multicultural gathering point for international students from around the globe.
Organiser Jamie Wong said visitors can expert a world kitchen of cuisines, as well as arts and crafts, games stalls and live cultural performances.

The theme for this year’s MUOSS night market is “World without Borders”.
“It’ll be a harmonious and unforgettable night,” she said.
The night market will be held from 6pm to 10pm at Melbourne University’s Union Lawn.
A Student Experience Fair will also be held on April 5, in conjunction with the night market.
The event will run from noon to 4pm and provide international students with information on everything from academic life to housing, career advice and health and safety.
