Asian Shorts will feature films of every genre from all over Asia, including films by Asians in Australia, from romance and action to comedy and more. The mini-movies  will also each be promising a unique cultural flavour. You’ll be transported to Hong Kong, India, South Korea and Thailand – all for the price of a single gold coin.

Whether you’re a director or a film buff, Asian Shorts will be a great evening for the appreciation of multicultural entertainment. No matter what your field of study, you’ll benefit from this opportunity to meet filmmakers, get industry tips, and socialise with fellow creative minds.

Asian Shorts will be held at the Loop, which has hosted other short film screenings for Chai Junction and SHAMIANA. The previous event, Subcontinental Shorts, featured Bollywood-style productions and dark psychological thrillers.

Chai Junction and SHAMIANA are also hosting a brand new competition for this screening. Be it Gangnam, desi or any other style, participants who dress up as an iconic Asian will be in the running for some very special prizes!

The Asian Shorts night will take place on October 20, 2012 from 4pm till 6.30pm with a break in between. If you’d like to attend, RSVP on Facebook or emailinfo@chaijunction.com. For more info visit the Facebook Event Page here.
