Are you a fan of all things Japanese – the food, culture, anime, and more?

If you can’t afford to purchase a plane ticket to Japan, SBS brings the best of the Land of the Rising Sun to your living room, with its latest series Destination Flavour Japan.

The series will be hosted by Masterchef Australia series 2 winner Adam Liaw, and it’s a befitting choice, as Japan is a place close to Liaw’s heart, having lived and worked in Japan for seven years.

Liaw will be taking audiences from the frozen north to the mainland adorned with cherry blossoms, then to the sun-kissed southern islands for a Japanese foodie adventure.

He visits farmers, Michelin-starred chefs and passionate home cooks to get to heart of Japanese food and lifestyle, and explores how the culture has evolved from ancient traditions to the bright lights of Tokyo, one of the world’s most exciting cities for food and beyond.

Destination Flavour Japan is expected to screen on SBS One later this year.
