The Finders Keepers Market showcases the work of independent designers, artists and musicians from around Australia and New Zealand. It was first held in December 2008 and there are now two annual markets in Sydney, Melbourne and Brisbane.

This year’s market is the biggest yet with stalls displaying the designs of more than 200 artists. Jennifer Kulas from Klaus Goods is just one of the designers participating this year.

The handcrafted leather design label carries leather wallets, card cases, cases for iPad and other electronics, accessories and more.

Ms Klaus is also preparing to present her debut range of deadstock vintage fabric five panel hats at the market this week.

At this year’s Finders Keepers Market, you will also find art work, jewellery, decorative bits and bobs for your room, clothes and handmade beauty products. And to keep you entertained while you browse and shop, there will be live music playing at the venue.

And if your legs begin to tire, you can pause for a drink and some tucker at some of the food stalls set up at the market.

One quick shopping tip: Make sure to bring enough cash with you! Many stalls only trade in cash and there is no ATM inside the building.

Finders Keepers is on at the Royal Exhibition Building this Friday April 5 from 6pm to 10pm, and Saturday April 6 from 10am to 5pm. A gold coin donation is kindly requested upon entry.
