DESIGNERS made a splash at Mercedes Benz Fashion Week Australia with swimwear looks that will dominate both pool and beach this season. Jamie-Maree Shipton gives you a front-row seat to all the action on the runway.
White Sands
The morning of day one began swimmingly well as looks from White Sands washed up at the MBFWA catwalk.
Bronzed bikini clad models with big tousled hair strutted down the runway, every one resembling the quintessential “beach babe”.
Bandeau, strapless and triangle bikini tops, Brazilian and high rise bottom to low back and deep v front one-pieces all ranging from pastel to black.
Ruffled details further emphasised the feminine and flirty vibe of the show.
The collection was taken from beach to resort with the editions of flowing dresses, kaftans and maxi skirts, and the delicate patterns on the silky materials made the looks perfect for the poolside.
The Group Swim runway also offered up perfect pieces for the pool or beach.
