FTW: Wolf Children DVD Giveaway

FROM the creative mind of anime director Mamoru Hosoda comes his new film, Wolf Children. Sol Ahn details how you can win one of three copies of the film.

Anime fans might not be familiar with Mamoru Hosoda’s name but they will likely have encountered his films, The Girl Who Leapt Through Time and Summer Wars in some fashion before.

Often billed as the next Hayao Miyazaki (Spirited Away, Howl’s Moving Castle), Hosoda’s newest award-winning film, Wolf Children, is now available to own on DVD and in Blu-ray.

Wolf Children is the story of Hana, a young woman who, while studying at university, falls in love with a mysterious young man who reveals to her that he is capable of turning into a wolf. Together, the couple raise a happy, loving family but after her partner’s sudden death, Hana moves with her two children, Ame and Yuki to a small rural town to restart their lives.

Though Ame and Yuki have differing personalities, the countryside move provides Hana the means to raise her children to lead lives as either humans or wolves.

In Australia, the film screened as part of Reel Anime 2012, a mini-anime film festival, and has been praised around the world for its heart-warming story of parenthood and captivating animation.

Thanks to Madman Entertainment, Meld Magazine has three copies of Wolf Children to give away to readers. For your chance to win one of three copies of Wolf Children, enter the competition below.
