SQUEAKY Clean Comedy is back again at the Melbourne International Comedy Festival and we have two double passes to give away for opening night! Daniel Driscoll has details on the show and how you can win.
Squeaky Clean Comedy returns to the 2014 Melbourne International Comedy Festival for another installment of good wholesome laughs. Candlelight Productions in conjunction with World Vision have teamed up to present Australia’s favourite clean comedy event with hopes of raising awareness of education programs in indigenous communities.
Featuring eight of Australia’s best clean comedy acts (including Danny McGinlay, Mike Klimczak, Sarah Jones, Almost Exactly Circus and Joel McKerrow), the show will also feature a mixture of poetry, circus performances and a ventriloquism act at the Melbourne City Conference Centre.
Each comedic act will be delivering more than two hours of fantastic entertainment to this year’s theme, ‘Squeaky Clean Comedy… on yard duty’.
Squeaky Clean Comedy’s shows are only open March 29, April 5 and April 12 and you won’t want to miss out. By attending, you’ll be helping Candlelight Productions, a not-for-profit arts production company in Melbourne, help meet their goal of building communities, fostering creativity and encouraging an attitude of service in the arts.
“Just by being there, you’re helping to raise awareness of a worthwhile cause,” says the show’s producer Eugene Wong. “The only prerequisite is that you come prepared to be seriously entertained”.
There’s also a special offer specially for students! The people behind Squeaky Clean Comedy know students don’t always have heaps of cash lying around – so you can catch the show for only $15. The view may not be great from your seat, but the comedy definitely will be. To book tickets, jump online to the Squeaky Clean Comedy website, or email ticketing@candlelightproductions.com.au.
Squeaky Clean Comedy will be held at the Melbourne City Conference Centre for three nights only. Tickets cost $35 (Premium, no discounts apply), $30 (Standard), $25 (Concession), $24 (Groups of 8+), and $15 (Special student offer).
