EXAMS are just around the corner, so we’ve saved you the trouble of wracking your brain by compiling a list of places you can go to get some serious studying done in Melbourne.

Libraries
Libraries are probably one of the best places to go cram for your exam preparation. The State Library of Victoria is located on Swanston St opposite Melbourne Central. It has plenty of study areas with excellent internet facilities. It’s also the state’s largest public reference library and is open Monday to Thursday from 10am to 9pm and Friday to Sunday from 10am to 6pm.
The University of Melbourne’s Law Library is another great place to go because you don’t have to be a student from University of Melbourne to use this library. Located on Pelham St, the library is just a short stroll away from the city centre and is open Monday to Thursday from 8.30am to 11pm, Friday from 8.30am to 6pm and weekends from 10am to 6pm.
And finally, the RMIT University Library is located on level 5 in Building 8 on Swanston St. It’s open Monday to Thursday from 8am to midnight and closes at 8pm on Fridays and the weekend.
Cafes and Eateries
Known for their amazing burgers, 1000 £ Bend is great for students to come in for a quick bite or drink and also to study. There is also free WiFi, so you can stream an online lecture while munching down one of their signature burgers. They’re located at 361 Lt Lonsdale St and are open 8am to 11pm on Monday to Friday and 10am to 11pm on weekends.
The Pancake Parlour in Melbourne Central lets you enjoy pancakes anytime of the day while studying! Or when open from 7am to 1am on Sunday to Thursday and till 3am on Friday and Saturday.
For those of you who are going to pull an all-nighter you could consider going to either the MacDonald’s right across Queen Victoria Market or Hungry Jack’s right across Melbourne Central. Both fast food joint operate 24 hours a day and are open every single day of the week.
Finally for those who are looking for a quick spot to study with limited Internet access, Starbucks Coffee could be your place. WiFi is limited to 30 minutes per drink purchased. This is a great way to prevent excessive usage of social media and keep Internet surfing at a low.There are two Starbucks in Melbourne and they’re located at 207 Collins St and 295 Swanston St.
The Starbucks branch at Collins St opens early on Monday to Thursday from 6.30am to 9.30pm and midnight on Fridays. Opening hours are from 7.30am to midnight on Saturdays and closes at 10pm on Sundays. The Swanston St branch is open Monday to Thursday from 7am to 11pm and closes at 12.00am on Fridays. Opening hours are from 8am to 12am on Saturdays and closes on 11pm on Sundays.
