The Indonesian Street Food Festival is on again and brings a taste of Indonesia to the Victoria Market for this free event. The annual event sees the Indonesian community collaborating to showcase the best of their culture, food, sights and sounds.

The event also celebrates “Kartini Day”, a significant day in Indonesia symbolising something similar to Mother’s day and is a day celebrating women’s roles within Indonesian society.

Over 20 restaurants will have traditional and authentic Indonesian cuisine on offer that will ensure your taste buds are tantalised. There will also be traditional dancers from the Indonesian archipelago including Sumatra and the Eastern sea of Indonesia.

The event is appropriately timed as the Indonesian Film Festival comes to a close on the Saturday.

Head on over to the Vic Market to enjoy some wonderful traditional food and dancing on this day of celebration.
