WANT to help underprivileged children attain better education? Project O is back and they’re inviting you for a night of Indonesian arts and culture for this important cause. Chrisella Sentana has more on the event.
Indonesian student organisation PPIA RMIT is gearing up for their next big Project O event, which will take place on August 30 at RMIT University Storey Hall.
Titled, A Night of Discoveries, this annual charity night is a celebration of Indonesian culture as the night unfolds with a showcase of interactive galleries displaying artworks from Indonesia’s main islands. Art performances will also take place, with renowned Barry Likumahuwa on hand to perform his trademark jazz songs.
Veronica Colondam, founder of the non-profit organisation Yayasan Cinta Anak Bangsa (Loving the Nation’s Youth), will also present a talk on the importance of education in youth development.
Proceeds from the event will be donated to the YCAB whose focus lies squarely on increasing access to education for marginalised children in Indonesia. So if you’re in the giving mood, and happy to meet new people, mingle and enjoy a night out then latest Project O event should have all those bases covered!
Project O: A Night of Discoveries will be happening at RMIT University Storey Hall on August 30 from 5.30pm – 10.00pm. If you’re interested in attending, head over to the event’s Eventbrite page where you can purchase $10 early bird tickets! Hurry as early bird sales end tomorrow.
