Docklands Winter Festival Fireworks
Friday, July 3 (6.30 pm – 8.30 pm); Piazza at Docklands

Brave the cold on Friday night and check out the free annual fireworks winter celebrations down at Docklands.
You can either nurse a warm beverage at one of Docklands’ many restaurants and cafes or rug up and sit down by the water at the New Quay Promenade.
If you happen to miss this Friday, don’t worry – there will be fireworks every Friday night through till the end of August!
The Right to Know: Immigration Museum Exhibition

To celebrate 100 years of reconnecting families, the Red Cross International Tracing Service is holding a special exhibition that highlights their history and recounts the stories of some of those it has helped.
The service was established to reconnect families who have been separated by war and natural and man-made disasters. The entire museum is well worth a visit and the best part is that entry for students is free!

Stock up on fresh fruit and veg for the week and support organic, primary producers from around the state.
You can get all sorts of delicious goods at the Veg Out St Kilda Farmers Market; honeys, wines, biscuits, chutneys, confectionary and artisan cheeses to name a few.
If early starts aren’t your thing, grab breakfast and a coffee at the market before you start shopping.
40 Years of IKEA Celebration

Yes, that’s right. IKEA has been selling hotdogs in Australia for 40 years. Oh, and furniture on the side.
Head out to either of Melbourne’s IKEA stories this weekend armed with an allen key and take part in a furniture building competition.
If you can beat one of their experts you get to take the product home, along with a $50 IKEA voucher. There’s also a traditional smorgasbord full of Swedish meatballs on Saturday and Sunday nights starting at 5.30 pm.
There are also rumours of a petting zoo at Richmond and selfie competitions with $500 vouchers up for grabs.
