Get down to Victoria Harbour Promenade and check out this massive free exhibition celebrating the raver culture of the ’90s. Discover the secret history of Melbourne’s electronic music scene and learn about the contemporary history of alternative cultural activities that were held in the sheds at the Victoria Docks

Discover what made Docklands a cultural destination in the ’90s at this interactive exhibition which visits the days of raves, dance parties and all that made the scene great, at a time when the docks were seen as an abandoned wasteland.

Check out the wallpaper display with original passes and flyers, hear about people’s experiences through audio recordings and see some truly crazy fashion choices people wore to events of the era. Read maps and wall notes that show how the area developed and check out some original computer equipment from the era.

Find out how events were organised in a pre-digital age and see how this Melbourne cultural empire was formed.

Carlton Baths’ 100th Birthday Party

The Carlton Baths is celebrating 100 years with an afternoon extravaganza!

Enjoy a splash around in the newly developed swimming pool, get your face painted, float around on a giant inflatable or get up close to come animals at the petting zoo.

Live bands and a sausage sizzle will keep you full and grooving.

Clayton Street Festival 2016
Sunday, February 14 (12.00pm – 9.00pm) | Clayton Rd, Clayton

The MUOSS night market is an annual highlight on the international student calendar.

The Clayton Street Festival will feature a huge selection of things to see and do with cultural workshops, a Design Market and Hawkers Night Market on offer.

Haughton Road East is where you’ll find the Hawkers Night Market which will be lined with a huge range of market stalls offering handmade items including jewelry, accessories, homewares and tasty treats. Enjoy some delicious food, down a drink at the cider bar or sample aromatic coffees from around the world while you catch some great stage entertainment.

Head to the Culture Club to learn a new skill at the free workshops where you can try out traditional handmade arts and crafts taught by local multicultural community members.

Don’t miss the Clayton Street Parade, the highlight of the event with hundreds of students from local primary schools, sporting clubs and community groups participating, it should be a site to see.

St Kilda Festival, Festival Sunday 2016

The St Kilda Festival is back again and the biggest day of the event is Festival Sunday, with a ton of stuff to do along the entire St Kilda beach shoreline.

Enjoy a huge lineup of music across seven stages, while roving entertainers keep you grooving all around.

Pick up something handmade at markets offering everything from clothes, jewellery, hats and more.

Feast your eyes on a truly amazing offering of food with foodtrucks bringing a selection of international goodies, food stalls, local eateries and ice cream vendors.

Sink a drink or two at the many, many drink stands and local bars.

This is one event where you can truly make an entire day of it!
