THIS July and August, Meld is pleased to be working with IKEA to offer students the opportunity to go behind the scenes and learn how the Swedish furniture juggernaut run their business and marketing operations.
Everyone at some point in their lifetime would probably have owned an IKEA product but how did the brand become the household name it is today?
It’s a case study featured in numerous business and marketing textbooks, but students now have the opportunity to see for themselves through our upcoming series of IKEA industry talk and tours.
The talk and tours will focus on the topics of media (graphic design) and marketing as well as business and logistics, held on Friday July 29 and Friday August 12 respectively. Both sessions will run from 10am to 12pm at IKEA Richmond in Victoria Gardens, and includes light refreshments.
What can students expect from these tours?
- An introduction to the IKEA business
- A guided store walk of IKEA Richmond
- Industry talks from IKEA by representatives in media and marketing as well as business and logistics
As spaces are limited, priority will go towards students who are currently studying in related fields. To register your interest, simply fill in the form below, and shortlisted students will be notified by email.

I’m currently studying a Master in Supply Chain Management and IKEA is one of the companies I have admired for a long time! I would love to be part of this event and can participate the 12 of August
