From quirky knick knacks to items such as coffee tables, this pop-up market offers an assortment of handmade items from local Etsy sellers. With more than a hundred market stalls, there is bound to be something here you can find.
There will also be food trucks and craft workshops if you ever need a break from shopping. This free event is something you should not miss out on.
Sketching in the Gallery

Unleash your inner creativity with the help of Juan Ford, an artist whose work has been exhibited extensively in Australia and internationally. No stranger to the art world, Juan will facilitate these sessions and guide sketchers and drawers on a surrealist technique called Exquisite Corpse, a method that incorporates a collection of words and images.
You don’t need to be an expert artist to participate too; beginners are more than welcome to draw as well. Materials will also be provided for this session. Booking is required prior to the session — entry fee for members is $46, while non-members entry fee is $58.

Christmas Festival Official Tree Lighting Ceremony
Friday, November 24 (7.00 pm – 9.15 pm) | Federation Square (Corner of Swanston St & Flinders St, Melbourne)
Christmas is around the corner so why not embrace the holiday season with a tree lighting ceremony at Federation Square. This tree lighting ceremony officially marks the beginning of the Christmas Festival in Melbourne.
Carolers and choirs will entertain the crowds while they wait for the brand new, 16 metre high Christmas tree as it becomes lit for the first time. Santa might make an appearance at the ceremony too! Feel free to drop by for the ceremony after a trip of shopping and dining in the city, and bring along your friends to kick off this Christmas season.

Christmas Lights at Light House
November 24 – December 25 (8.00 pm – 12.00 am) | Light House (888 Collins St, Docklands)
The new architectural icon of Melbourne is coming to life this festive season! This unique building offers weather reports in the form of a light show throughout the year.
With Christmas coming, the curator of the light show, Bruce Ramus, has set up a Christmas-themed light show leading up to the occasion. And with its distinctive and illuminative lighting, this would be an ideal place to snap some photos for your Instagram!
Best viewed from Buluk Park in Docklands, this free-to-view light show will occur twice per hour from 8.00pm until midnight.
