Star Wars: The Last Jedi

We’re pretty pumped for the release of Star Wars: The Last Jedi and you should be too! The second instalment of the new Star Wars trilogy promises to expand on the story set by J.J Abrams in The Force Awakens and will continue the saga of Rey as she trains with Jedi Master Luke Skywalker while the galaxy is plunged into further turmoil.

The blockbuster extravaganza will see the return of beloved heroes Finn, Poe Dameron and BB-8 alongside Star Wars regulars such as Leia Organa, Chewbacca, C-3PO and R2-D2 as well as new characters like the plucky Rose Tico in an episode that is already being touted as one of the series’ defining films.

Star Wars: The Last Jedi can be viewed in cinemas all across Australia, including IMAX. Tickets can be purchased at your local cinema. 

MCW: Final Battle
Saturday, December 16 (6.30pm – 11.00pm) | The Thornbury Theatre (859 High St, Thornbury)

After a huge year, the best wrestling promotion in Australia will close out 2017 with a bang in what promises to be a stacked card of incredible athleticism and entertainment.

Melbourne City Wrestling Heavyweight Champion Jonah Rock will do battle once again with former champ, Dowie James, inside a steel cage. ‘The Loose Ledge’ Adam Brooks will put his MCW Intercommonwealth Championship and PWA Heavyweight Championship all on the line against Robbie Eagles, continuing their series of show-stealing competition.

And Toni Storm, fresh off her inclusion in WWE’s Mae Young Classic and international tour in major promotions across Japan and in UK, will make her grand return to Australia where she’ll compete against Shazza McKenzie who herself has been blazing an international trail of her own.

Get into the Christmas spirit this weekend not just by shopping for gifts but simply enjoying the joyful sounds of the holidays this weekend!

Head down to Collins Square over the weekend and listen to the music and carollers of the Salvation Army as they spread Christmas cheer and collect donations for their Christmas Appeal.

If you don’t have a chance to see it this weekend, the carollers and Christmas performers will be at Collins Square throughout the week as well!

It’s the final weekend of the Arts Centre Melbourne Sunday Market!

If you haven’t had a chance to visit then now’s your chance before it closes up for 2017. And if you’re in need for some unique, locally made products both for yourself and as a Christmas gift for someone in your life, then you can get it all here too!

A short walk away from Flinders St Station, the market will have local retailers and designers selling wares which may include handmade clothing and accessories, household decorations and more! You might find some treats to take home and nibble as well!
