Are you an international student currently struggling to find a job? Do you find yourself wondering if your resume is up to par? Or are you simply just trying to gain some relevant workplace experience?

Then the Victorian Government has something just for you!

As part of its LIVE initiative (Lead, Intern, Volunteer, Experience), Navitas Professional in partnership with Study Melbourne, will deliver a range of workshops to help international students within Victoria achieve their employment goals.

Open to all Victorian international students, these free workshops will be taking place at the Study Melbourne Student Centre, located on 599 Bourke St, Melbourne, now until to December 13, 2018.

Ranging from mock interviews to one-on-one resume review sessions, the activities aim to enhance your employability skills and get you ready for the workplace.

Sessions will include:

Webinars

These will be live sessions with chat and Q&A options. The sessions will cover the three important topics which include resume writing, cover letter creation and personal branding. Webinars typically last between 30 – 45 minutes and will be held on Tuesdays and Wednesdays from 11.00am.

Work-Readiness Workshops

These workshops will include 90 minutes of Q&As and role-playing in regards to job seeking skills and interview skills. Unlike the webinars these are face-to-face workshops.

These workshops will take place on Wednesdays from 3.00pm to 4.00pm.

Individual Resumé Sessions

No matter what personal goals you’re pursuing, personal career consultants will be at the Study Melbourne Student Centre to conduct one-on-one session to review and improve your CV. Consultants are available for 20 minute sessions and will be running every Thursday between 2.00pm and 4.00pm.
