The Melbourne International Student Conference is an annual highlight on the international student calendar you won’t want to miss.
Hosted by Meld Community and the City of Melbourne, the conference provides an invaluable opportunity for students to develop themselves personally and professionally, and get a head start in thinking about their futures.
The theme for MISC 2019 is ‘Failure Future Focus’, and seeks to open up a discussion of how experiences of failure in its many forms (let’s face it, we all have them) can provide unique learning opportunities that help the individual set the course towards success. This year the conference has invited speakers to share their experiences of failure, and how that has subsequently helped them become stronger leaders. Particularly, the conference will address topics like: being an inclusive leader in diverse communities, cultural intelligence, and emotional awareness, entrepreneurship, and professional networking and mentoring.
Applications are now open for passionate, enthusiastic and can-do student volunteers who are interested in getting involved behind-the-scenes at this year’s conference taking place on Friday, May 17.
Volunteers will need to be available all day, as well as attend training prior to the conference on the evening of Thursday, May 9.
If you wish to volunteer, please fill out the registration form below by May 4th. Successful volunteers will be notified by email on May 6th.
