Running in its eighth consecutive year, Festival Indonesia 2012 will be a weekend-long celebration packed with events and activities celebrating Indonesia’s rich culture and heritage. The event is so well-known it’s been officially recognised by both the Australian and Indonesian governments for its commitment to establishing cultural ties and promoting harmony between the two nations.
From September 22 through to September 23, Festival Indonesia 2012 will be held at Queensbridge Square in Southbank where visitors can come sample Indonesian delicacies, experience traditional dance and music performances and try your hand at the interactive Indonesian arts and crafts workshops.
You’ll also be given the opportunity to gain some insightful information about the country, including the best holiday spots throughout the nation in case you ever want to visit Indonesia.
With plenty of things to do, the Festival Indonesia 2012 Weekend promises to be a fun-filled taste of Indonesian culture.
