INTERNATIONAL students are invited to participate in this year’s Lord Mayor’s Student Welcome and celebrate the diversity they bring to Melbourne. Gabriella Ariffin has more.
This March 28, international students living and studying in Melbourne are invited to attend the Lord Mayor’s Student Welcome, a fun and free event where students’ contributions to the cultural life and diversity of Melbourne is celebrated.
With more than 36,000 international students from all over the world living and studying in Melbourne, this event not only gives students the opportunity to meet other students from other countries but also invites students to have a fun day out in the city.
Organised by young for young people, the award-winning event will once again take place at The Couch on Bourke Street and will include face painting, photo booths and a chance to get up close and personal with some friendly reptiles!
In addition, international students new to Melbourne can also find the Lord Mayor’s Student Welcome to also be an invaluable experience to learn more about out the very city they’ll be spending their time in. Information stalls will be set up on the day so that students can find out more about the city.
