Xiangqiao Sheng is a recent graduate from RMIT who had the incredible privilege of being among a select number of graduate designers whose final-year collection will be showcased before an audience at the prestigious Virgin Australia Melbourne Fashion Festival.
It’s an honour that is certainly not lost on Sheng who attended the festival every year during her studies and who one day hoped she too would have her designs shown off at VAMFF’s runways.
We caught up with Xiangqiao to talk about her graduate collection, her approach towards design and what being selected by VAMFF means to herr.
