WITH exams coming to an end and a deserved break on the horizon, why not celebrate with some cinematic fun at Chai Junction and SHAMIANA’s Thriller Shorts night. Hieu Chau has the details.
This Saturday evening, social society Chai Junction and Asia’s largest short film club SHAMIANA host another series of short film screenings held at the Loop on Meyers Place.
The Chai Junction/SHAMIANA short film event, dubbed Thriller Shorts, is set to provide what should be an entertaining evening made up of a varying mix of impressive shorts compiled from around Australia and all across the world.
This is not the first time these two clubs have hosted an event at Loop. Their previous events, Asian Shorts and Subcontinential Shorts, have been largely successful events filled with a fun carousing atmosphere amidst the backdrop of short films.
Interestingly enough, organisers have arranged the dress code for this particular event to be neon which seems strangely appropriate for the occasion – thrilling colours for what looks to be a very thrilling evening.
Plus, the added bonus is it costs next to nothing, with the organisers asking for only a gold coin donation upon entry.
Thriller Shorts will take place on Saturday, Novemeber 24 from 4.00pm – 6.30pm. The entry fee for the event will only be a gold coin donation. For further information about the event or to RSVP, head on over to the Thriller Shorts event page on Facebook.
