Calling all anime lovers out there, the wait is finally over!

Madman Entertainment has recently released Studio Ghibli’s The Cat Returns and Princess Mononoke in Blu-Ray, complete with the original Japanese language track with subtitles and the English language dub track.

Studio Ghibli is a Japanese animation film studio best known for its anime feature films. The studio’s most well known film was Spirited Away directed by Hayao Miyazaki, which won an Oscar for Best Animated Feature in 2002.

The award-winning director Miyazaki also directed Princess Mononoke, which received many accolades in Japan as well much critical praise abroad. Frequently cited as one of the director’s masterpieces, Studio Ghibli fans will finally get the chance to see one of the Miyazaki’s best films in high definition picture and sound for the first time. The animated film also has an amazing soundtrack, composed by the talented Joe Hisaishi.

The Cat Returns is one of the few films by Studio Ghibli that was not directed by Miyazaki or Isao Takahata (Grave of the Fireflies), the studio’s other high profile name. Under the tutelage of Miyazaki, director Hiroyuki Morita made the film in contrast to the usual Studio Ghibli’s style while paying homage to Japan’s animation masters.

If you are an avid fan of The Cat Returns and Princess Mononoke, you can finally add these latest Blu-Ray editions of famous Studio Ghibli films to your collection!

instead of putting up competitions all the time, how about you talk about some real news that affects students such as the cuts to education and much more expensive healthcare.

Hurry up Meld as students have to make some decisions as to where to study and most acceptances close soon

Thanks for the great competition guys! I’ve only just recently started watching anime, and Studio Ghibli have provided some of the best material so far! I can’t wait to see Princess Monokoke, as I’ve heard it’s absolutely superb. Now that it’s being released on Blu-Ray, I’ll be able to see it easier. Once again, thanks for the great competition, keep it up and all the best!
